The Pilea plant is not only unique in its appearance. Hailing from Himalyan China, this plant is said to have originally been brought to Europe by a Norweigan missionary. Constantly sprouting “pups” (baby plants) from the soil surrounding its main stalk, the Pilea was propagated and passed along from friend to friend.
